Jake, and ER doctor is crushing on his (very frequent) patient Gabriel.Gabriel is a college hockey player, adrenalin junkie, happy go lucky and very accident and injury prone.Jake is still in mourning and I liked that Gabriel got him looking at his life and where he was and how he was living differently. Starting him on the path to healing, I'm just not sure about the relationship, it seemed to me where Jake made great improvements and moved forward, Gabriel isn't.I understand Gabriel's decision and reticence to rock the boat, but I was also left thinking it really isn't the best thing for Jake.I see this more as a HFN ( and that's actually what the book says too) and more of a stepping stone for each man to then move on to someone else or something else in life.
